Description
IMDG Code Awareness e-learning (Thai) provides introductory training for personnel whose work relates to dangerous goods shipped by sea. The course is delivered online in Thai and can be studied at a convenient pace.
Who is the course for?
Suitable for office staff, administrators, account managers and other maritime transport personnel who need general knowledge of the IMDG Code. Training under IMDG Code Chapter 1.3 must be appropriate to each employee’s responsibilities; additional function-specific instruction may be necessary.
Course content
- Module 1: IMO, conventions, legal framework and international requirements.
- Module 2: General provisions, dangerous goods classes, packing groups and safety.
Assessment and certificate
No preparatory course is required. The awareness course usually takes approximately two hours and concludes with a multiple-choice test. A score of at least 70% is required to receive the IMDG Awareness course certificate. Reviewing the modules twice is recommended.
A course certificate documents completion of this training; it does not by itself establish competence for every IMDG function. The applicable IMDG amendment and currency of the learning material should be verified.
