E-learning IMDG code Awareness course (German)

€95,00

IMDG Code Awareness e-learning in German. Two modules covering IMO rules, classifications and maritime dangerous goods safety. Approximately 2 hours.

Description

The IMDG Code Awareness e-learning course (German) introduces the rules and terminology used when dangerous goods are transported by sea. It is intended for personnel who need general IMDG Code knowledge in connection with their work, including shipping administration, customer service, freight forwarding and related logistics activities.

IMDG Code training and responsibilities

IMDG Code Chapter 1.3 addresses training appropriate to personnel responsibilities. General awareness is an introduction: employees undertaking specialised packing, consigning, loading or vessel operations may need additional function-specific instruction relevant to their actual duties. A course completion certificate is evidence of training, not a universal legal licence.

Course content

The e-learning course has two modules:

  • Module 1: The International Maritime Organization (IMO), international conventions and regulatory requirements.
  • Module 2: General IMDG provisions, dangerous goods classes, packing groups and safety principles.

Who is this course for?

Suitable for office and support staff working with maritime dangerous goods shipments, administrators and other employees who require a general understanding of the IMDG Code. For direct operational duties, employers should consider the necessary function-specific training.

Certificate, duration and language

Language: German.
Typical duration: approximately 2 hours.
Assessment: multiple-choice final test with a minimum passing score of 70%.

Upon passing the test, participants receive the IMDG Awareness e-learning course certificate. No previous formal training is stated as a prerequisite. Online study can be completed at your own pace; revisiting the two modules is recommended.
